JOHNNY STURGEON
Journalist and documentary filmmaker specialising in marine science and maritime conflict. I have experience reporting from Europe, North America, Central America, and the Arctic, merging immersive fieldwork and boatbuilding with personal storytelling. My work has garnered over 180 million views from more than 1.1 million online followers.
I hold an MSc (Hons) from Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, a BA (Hons) in History & Politics from the University of Oxford, and Explorers Club membership. My accolades include the Pulitzer Crisis Grant, Pulitzer Travelling Fellowship, duPont Judy F. Crichton Award, Fulbright Scholarship, NBCUniversal Scholarship, and the Hugh Fulton-Byas Award.
